About Us
PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy is to provide a quality, age appropriate preschool program that will inspire children, to learn and develop their individual talents through creativity, hands-on learning and play in a safe and loving environment.
OUR CURRICULUM
Our curriculum is based primarily on the “Creative Curriculum” and ELLM-PLUS, even more importantly meeting the needs of each individual child. We offer opportunities for creative expression, constructive play, social interaction, communication skills, and physical development. We encourage decision-making, risk-taking, and responsibility. The children are given the freedom to explore, experiment and make choices. Self-esteem and individuality are nurtured while providing children with a sense of belonging, acceptance and love. Our curriculum emerges from children’s ideas, thoughts and observations that capture their interest and imagination. The role of our teachers is first and foremost to be that of a learner alongside the children.
“...a hundred worlds to discover
a hundred worlds to invent
a hundred worlds to dream.”
Loris Malaguzzi, pioneer of the preschools in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
In addition, we are excited to enrich our curriculum with Spanish classes, yoga, music, movement, carefully selected educational television programs, and physical exercise. These creative and innovative additions are specifically designed for young children and it will prepare the young child’s mind for its intellectual, emotional and physical development.
STAFF
staff is carefully screened, selected and trained. A qualified and caring staff contributes to the success of each child as well as to the success of the entire center. Our staff members are selected on the basis of their education, training, experience, and their desire to work with the philosophy of our center. We place high expectations on our teachers. Each teacher is required to further their professional development through continuing education. All staff members have received their CPR and First Aid training.
